There is a real business in doing drains and sewers only. The equipment is expensive but it earns constantly, the work is recession-resistant because drains block regardless of the economy, and the specialisation is a genuine competitive advantage against general plumbing outfits carrying one cable machine.

What size market does this need?
Enough density to keep trucks busy without excessive drive time, and ideally older housing stock with mature trees, which is what generates root and cast iron work. Jacksonville is close to ideal on both counts.
