Drain cleaning on Amelia Island
Resort territory, which means the drain loads here are commercial in scale even when the building looks residential.

Why drains fail in Amelia Island
A large resort puts through volumes no house ever will. Commercial laundries discharge enormous quantities of lint and detergent residue in short bursts, and resort kitchens run fryer and prep loads that coat a line far faster than a domestic kitchen could. Those are jetting-and-schedule problems, and treating them with a cable is how a property ends up calling somebody during a full weekend.
The island's geography splits the work in two. Ocean-side properties deal with sand and wind-driven debris. The Egans Creek and marsh side is a completely different proposition: outfalls sitting close to salt marsh that tide-lock, so a system that discharges perfectly at low water has nowhere to push at high. We test those at the worst tide rather than the convenient one, because that is the condition that actually matters.

What we actually find here
The Amelia Island pattern
Four things we see more of in Amelia Island than in the rest of our service area, and what each one means for the fix.
Commercial laundry lint loads
Resort laundries discharge huge volumes fast. Lint and detergent build a felt layer that pressure removes and a cable does not.
Resort-scale kitchen grease
Fryer and banquet volumes running through building lines, which need a jetting interval rather than an emergency number.
Marsh-side tidal outfalls
Egans Creek and marsh-side systems can be tide-locked, so they must be tested at high water to mean anything.
HOA and shared resort infrastructure
Buildings sharing laterals and lift stations, where responsibility for a line is genuinely unclear until somebody cameras it.

Amelia Island questions
Our resort laundry keeps backing up. Is that a plumbing fault?
Usually not a fault, just volume. Commercial laundries push out an enormous amount of water and lint in a very short window, and a line that copes fine between loads can be overwhelmed during the discharge. Jetting removes the felt-like lint layer properly, where a cable just bores a channel through it.
Why does our marsh-side drainage fail only sometimes?
Tide. If the outfall sits low near the marsh, high water leaves it nothing to discharge into, so the identical rainfall produces a completely different result depending on timing. We test these at high tide, because a system that only works at low tide is not really working.
