Drain cleaning in Atlantic Beach
The widest gap between old and new of the three beach towns: 1940s cottages on one street and substantial new construction on the next.
Local conditions
Why drains fail in Atlantic Beach
Atlantic Beach has been steadily rebuilding for two decades, which means a single block can contain an original cottage on its first sewer lateral and a house finished last year on new PVC. There is no safe assumption here about what is in the ground, and that is precisely why we camera rather than guess before quoting anything structural.
The other local factor is the maritime hammock vegetation, particularly around Selva Marina and the streets backing onto the preserve areas. The tree and palm root systems here are aggressive and salt-tolerant, and they find older joints just as reliably as the live oaks inland do, in ground that stays damp enough to keep them interested year round.

What we actually find here
The Atlantic Beach pattern
Four things we see more of in Atlantic Beach than in the rest of our service area, and what each one means for the fix.
Old and new side by side
Original cottages and recent builds on the same street, so pipe material varies house to house rather than block to block.
Maritime hammock roots
Salt-tolerant root systems around Selva Marina and the preserve edges, active in permanently damp ground.
Sand in exterior systems
The same beach sand problem as its neighbours, with the same answer: pressure, not cable.
New-build settlement
Recent construction on sandy fill can settle in the first years, producing bellies in laterals that were fine at handover.

Atlantic Beach questions
My house is brand new. Why is the sewer already blocking?
Two common reasons. Construction debris left in the line at build stage is the first, and it usually shows up within the first year or two. The second is settlement, where a lateral laid on sandy fill that was not fully compacted develops a low spot. Both are visible on camera and both are worth documenting while a builder warranty may still apply.
Are palm roots really as bad as oak roots?
Different rather than milder. Palms produce dense fibrous root mats rather than the thick woody roots an oak drives, and those mats are very effective at catching solids once inside a pipe. They also tolerate the salt and damp out here perfectly well.
