Find out what is actually wrong

Two questions, then a straight answer: what is most likely causing it, how urgent it really is, what to do right now, and what to please not do. Most people are one wrong move away from turning a service call into a cleanup.

The Flamingo difference

One call.
Whatever it turns out to be.

Drains and sewers are what we are known for, and they are the deepest thing we do. We are also full-service plumbers, which matters more than it sounds like it should: a blocked line is often not only a blocked line. The trap is cracked, the fixture is failing, or the water heater is the actual reason the laundry backs up.

Most companies would clear the drain and tell you to call somebody else for the rest. Our trucks carry the full drain and sewer arsenal and what a working plumber needs, so the whole job gets finished on the same visit instead of turning into a second contractor and a second wait.

  • Sectional and drum machines in every size from a 1.5 inch bathroom branch to a 6 inch main.
  • Trailer and truck-mounted jetters so heavy grease and root work does not become a second trip.
  • Push cameras and locators so when we say the problem is 34 feet out under the driveway, we can put a flag in the grass over it.
  • Background-checked technicians in shoe covers, with drop cloths down before the first tool comes out.
  • Full plumbing capability on board too, so a cracked trap, a failing fixture or a water heater does not become a second contractor and a second wait.

How it works

Three steps, no surprises

You call, we come

Dispatch answers the phone, not a voicemail box. You get a real arrival window, not a nine-hour one. Our target is 90 minutes anywhere we serve, and that target does not change because it is a Sunday.

We diagnose and quote

We find out which line is blocked and how far out before we quote anything. Then you get a flat price for the work, in writing, and nothing starts until you say yes to it.

We clear it and prove it

We open the line, run water to confirm it is genuinely flowing, camera it if the cause is worth seeing, and clean up the space. You get told what caused it so it is not a mystery next time.

Cable or jet?

Two very different jobs

Most companies will cable your line and call it done, because cabling is quick and it makes water move again. Sometimes that is genuinely the right call. Sometimes it means you are calling someone back in four months. Here is the honest difference.

A drain cable machine running from a bathroom floor into an open shower drain

Punches a channel through the blockage

A steel cable is driven down the line with a cutting head on the end. It breaks up whatever is in the way and bores an opening, so water moves again within minutes. It is fast, it is affordable, and for a hair mat in a shower branch or a wad of paper in a toilet line it is exactly the right tool.

  • Best for hair, paper, soft blockages, and any line you need open right now.
  • Works on lines that are too fragile or too collapsed to take jetting pressure.
  • The catch: it leaves the grease and scale that were on the pipe wall exactly where they were. The hole it made starts closing again immediately.
A technician feeding a high-pressure hydro jetting hose into an exterior sewer cleanout

Scours the pipe back to full diameter

A high-pressure hose with a rear-facing nozzle is pulled through the line, stripping grease, sludge, scale and root hair off the pipe wall and flushing it out the end. You are not left with a channel through the problem, you are left with a clean pipe.

  • Best for kitchen and restaurant grease, sand and silt in exterior lines, and any drain that keeps coming back.
  • Buys you years instead of months, because there is nothing left on the wall for the next clog to build on.
  • The catch: it costs more, and we will not jet a line that a camera shows is broken or badly bellied. We tell you that before you pay for it, not after.

Our promise

The price we say is the price you pay

Nobody enjoys calling a drain company. The least we can do is make sure the bill holds no surprises, the technician respects your floors, and the line is genuinely open before we drive away.

Flat-rate quote up front. Agreed in writing before work begins. No hourly meter running.
No after-hours surcharge. A 2am call costs what a 2pm call costs.
We leave it clean. Drop cloths, shoe covers, and the space put back the way we found it.
Warranty on the work. If a line we cleared blocks again in the warranty window, we come back and it is on us.

Questions we get every day

How fast can you actually get here?

Our target is 90 minutes from your call anywhere in our service area, and we run 24 hours a day. When you call, dispatch gives you a real arrival window instead of telling you to be home between eight and five. If we are going to miss the window, you get a call, not silence.

Do you charge by the hour?

No. We quote a flat rate for the job before any work starts, so the number you agree to is the number you pay, whether the line opens in twenty minutes or two hours. If we open it up and find something genuinely different underneath, we stop and requote rather than quietly adding to the bill.

Should I try a store-bought drain cleaner first?

We would rather you did not, and not because we want the work. Chemical openers almost never clear a real blockage. They sit against the pipe wall where the water has stopped, which is the worst place for them, and they are hard on older cast iron and on plastic traps. They also turn the standing water into something hazardous for whoever has to work in it. If you have already used one, just tell us so we can protect ourselves properly.

What is the difference between cabling and hydro jetting?

Cabling drives a steel cable through the blockage and punches a channel so water moves again. Hydro jetting uses high-pressure water to scour the entire inside wall of the pipe back to its original diameter. Cabling restores flow. Jetting restores the pipe. For hair in a shower branch, cabling is the right answer. For a kitchen line coated in fifteen years of grease, cabling just buys you a few months.

Are you plumbers?

Yes. We are full-service plumbers whose specialty is drains and sewers. That is where the heavy equipment, the cameras and most of our training hours go, which is why we are faster and more thorough on a blocked line than a general shop. It also means that when the cause turns out to be a fixture, a valve or a water heater, we can just fix it rather than sending you looking for somebody else.

My drain cleared on its own. Do I still need you?

Often, yes. A drain that clears itself has not fixed anything, it has just let enough water through to relieve the pressure. The restriction that caused it is still there and still growing. If it is the second time on the same line, or if more than one fixture was involved, get a camera on it before it stops at a worse moment.

Do you handle commercial properties?

Yes, and a lot of them. Restaurants, retail, medical, warehouse, multi-family and property management portfolios. We schedule around your hours, we can work after close, and we offer maintenance programs so grease lines and floor drains get cleaned on a calendar instead of on an emergency.
